The National Building Specification framework documents for preparing a detailed project specification are used by over 7,000 architects practices nationwide.
For over ten years Niche has recognised the importance of this business link and has subscribed to NBS Plus (The link for all companies with manufacturing input and influence).
This allows the architect to clearly specify a product in detail.
Niche's commitment to this method of specification can be seen in it's assistance in the preparation of the new generic operable wall L20/545 clause heading which has been introduced by NBS with effect from March 2011.
Andy Stennett Niche Commercial Manager states “It is essential that concise details of manufacturers products are available to all architects and designers, thereby enabling them to make an informed decision on the products available and to issue the new L20/545 specification in the most detailed form possible.“
This attention to specification detail has proved very successful for Niche in a commercial market where other companies often appear to prefer a somewhat less detailed approach.
Niche will further develop their NBS presence in 2011 with the introduction of the new “Commandoor“ system NBS framework L20/545 specification
